Authentic Guacamole with Sicilian Hass Avocado
Ingredients for 4 people: 3 ripe Hass avocados, 1 lime, ½ red onion, 1 red tomato, 1 fresh chili pepper, fresh cilantro to taste, salt to taste
Procedure: Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the pulp with a spoon. Mash it in a bowl with a fork—it shouldn't become a smooth cream, but rather a rustic consistency. Add the lime juice, finely chopped onion, deseeded and diced tomato, and deseeded chili pepper. Mix gently and season with salt. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving, covered with plastic wrap to prevent oxidation. Serve with toasted bread or nachos.
